Week 11

April 12 / 14

Does it work better?

Higher-fidelity User Testing

A higher-resolution usability means testing in something more-like-real life. Your test users are closer to actual users, your environment is closer to the actual environment, your prototype is closer to the real thing, your task is more like what people will actually do with your thing. You could also be more statistically rigorous!

Assignment

    For Thursday Apr 14:
  • NO assigned reading this week
For Tuesday Apr 19 by 8am, as always!:
  • Figure out your QUESTION: what do you want to determine in your design next?
  • How can you do a new round of testing at a higher fidelity? Your prototype is updated, but also you can up your game in testing methods. This includes getting closer to the real thing: in users, environments, tasks, and the prototype itself.
  • Submit your report about what you did, what you learned, etc, via the google form link as usual.
